Save & Budget with Centrelink Loans

Some tips for budgeting and saving are:

• Call up your electricity/gas/water supplier to make sure you are getting the best deal
• Call up your phone/telco provider to make sure you are on the right plan or are getting the best deal.
• If you have Foxtel, call them up to make sure you are getting the best deal.
• Some banks now have an option where they round up the value of your purchases to the nearest $10. So, if you made a purchase of $7 they would round it up to $10. They then deposit the remaining $3 in your savings account.

Centrelink provides payments to people who provide daily care to someone who has a mental condition, has a severe disability or is frail aged.

The two main types of benefits are the Carer Payment and the Carer Allowance.

If you are on a Centrelink Benefit currently you may be able to apply for a Centrelink Advance payment. By doing this you can get part of your income support or Family Tax Benefit Part A early and pay it back later out of your future payments.
